NOVA SCOTIA - DAY 56 & 57 - JULY 28 & 29

Leaving Windsor, I decided to do an inland route for a change, with the advantage of it being a bit shorter and less hilly on the way to Truro. It was fairly quiet and woodsy most of the way, until I got closer to Truro, where beautiful farmlands were in abundance. Also that river you see in the pictures is the Shubenacadie which is effected by the tidal bore from the Bay of Fundy. I didn't hang around and wait for it, but you can see the red muddy river banks. Here is a little info; Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre

I settled in at the Holiday Inn for the night and when it was raining in the morning I decided to stay another day. Naturally it cleared quickly and I took a little walk around town. I took a few pictures of some nice old buildings. This is one of the larger towns of Nova Scotia and used to be a major rail hub, but I think it has declined a bit since it's heyday.
